This study examined the mediating effect of self-balance on the structural relationship between cognitive ability and social problem solving with attention. Method: Research method was descriptive and correlational. Subjects were 308 participants (188 female and 114 male) selected by available sampling among aircrew of Iran Air company. To collect data, the following questionnaires were used:Nejati’s Cognitive Abilities Questionnaire, Hardin’s Integrated Self-Discrepancy Index (ISDI) and Social Problem Solving Inventory-revised short-form by D’Zurilla, and Nezu. Results: The results revealed that all the subscales of cognitive ability are correlated negatively with the components of adaptive problem solving and are positively related with the non-adaptive problem solving, with the significant level of 0.01. Also the four sub scales of Self-Discrepancy were related positively with adaptive problem solving and negatively with the non-adaptive problem solving and are correlated significantly on the level of 0.01. Conclusion: Due to the increasing evolution and complexity of the cognitive processes of the human brain, further studies are needed to enhance the relationships among personality, problem solving and cognitive abilities. Therefore effective programs are suggested for cognitive enhancement of employees in critical jobs like aircrew. Keywords: cognitive ability, social problem-solving, Self-Discrepancy, Structural Equation Modeling, social cognition.

Introduction: One of the fundamental basis of a company's success is having good and efficient managers; the managers' merits depends more on their behavior, personality traits, and attitudes than on their knowledge and skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of managers' characteristics on information symmetry with mediating the social responsibility disclosure in Tehran Stock Exchange companies. Method: The statistical population of this study is all companies accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange in 2018. The sample of study includes 50 Tehran Stock Exchange companies. In order to test the research hypotheses, structural equation model was used using partial least squares method through software (PLS3). Hexaco 6 Factor Questionnaire (2004) and the researcher made checklist were used to measure personality traits and social responsibility disclosure, respectively. In addiotion, to assess information symmetry, the difference between the proposed purchase price and the proposed selling price of the company's shares on the Tehran Stock Exchange was utilized. Results: The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between honesty, humility, agreement, conscientiousness and openness to experience and disclosure of social responsibility. Also, the above four personality factors can affect the symmetry of information by mediating the disclosure of social responsibility.

Introduction: The aim of this research was studying the most effective variables on materialism and explaining the relationships among them. Method: The study was conducted through structural equation modeling. The population included all high school students in Tehran and from among them 300 people were selected through cluster sampling. The instruments included Material Values Scale (MVS), Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS), and Social Comparison Instruments. Results: The results showed that the obtained model has a suitable goodness of fit with the data. Parents' and peers' social support with the mediating role of social comparison have indirect and positive effect on materialism. Furthermore, the direct and positive effect of social comparison on materialism was significant and the highest total effect belonged to peers' support. Conclusion: The findings of this study matched the findings of some similar researches and provide a robust support for the hypothesized structural relationships
